So, my band go on tour in 2 days time . . .
I’m all sorted, packed and I’m raring to go! This summer has been pretty lame purely due to the shitty weather, it started off so promising (as British summers always do) but the majority of the summer has been filled with cloudy, rainy, dull days. I feel like I’ve been cheated out of a summer. I’ll be making every second of this tour count, I’m super excited purely down to the fact that I’ve never been on a tour before, I’m looking forward to playing shows every night, sleeping rough and meeting some new cool people along the way. The bands that we’re touring with are Wait In Vain (from Seattle) and Outrage (Boston) I’m a fan of both of the bands so you can imagine how excited I am about getting to share a stage with them every night for a week. We played a show with a band from Boston called ‘The Effort’ in Nottingham last week, we got talking to them, they had just finished up a big US tour with Outrage, they told us that they are really nice guys to tour with. The day I return home I’m heading straight to Leeds Festival for another 3 days of sleeping rough and loud music, last time I went to Leeds Fest I was 19 so I’m looking forward to returning, I was going to head to Download again this year but due to band commitments and lack of cash I had abandon all festival plans until Amy managed to sort us press passes for Leeds. The bank holiday Monday after Leeds we’ll be playing @ Moho Live in Manchester with Bane, Down To Nothing and The River Card. Work has been fucking me off soooo much! so it’ll be nice to have over a week off to revel in some much needed new found summer fun. Hopefully this will lead to more touring opportunities.
