Windy/Rainy/Monday (awful awful words!)

Urgh, back in work already, the weekend flies by too fast. Friday night was super-cool, Saturday night was pretty tedious and uninteresting and Sunday night was comforting.

Vodka seemed like a rad idea (on a Friday night) / Vodka seemed like a bad idea (on a Saturday morning)

I was a bit worse for wear on Saturday morning, I’m not a big drinker, I rarely drink and I don’t like getting too drunk, but for some reason, I drank far-too much (I’d like to thank Amy for the 50p Vodka/RedBulls)

I’ve not got much on this week, so I’ll be making beatz and catching up on sleepz. I’ve seriously been neglecting my Akai, so much so that it is covered in dust. This week I’ll be spending some time in my room with my headphones on smashin’ some pads. I need to get some semi-decent rappers to spit some rhymes over my beats, if you could help me out, please get in touch.

Hopefully we’ll be getting the fully mastered “All We Have” tracks back this week.

You can’t get rid of me that easy, no, not without a fight...

Another Friday is upon us people! Should be a cool weekend, I’m going for some Thai food tonight in Manchester, I’ve not had a nice meal for a good while, you can’t beat eating out (that’s what she said!) We’ve got our first band practice in over a month tomorrow, stoked on that. I’ve heard all of our bands unmixed tracks, they sound really good! I was really impressed, can’t wait to hear the final product.

Expect to see these stickers stuck up around Manchester (obviously not be me cos I’m not a vandal)

Saturday night I’ll be DJ’ing in Jilly’s, last time I’ll be doing it for a good while now, so if you fancy coming along please let me know and I’ll get some ‘get in free’ fliers to you ASAP, I’ll be spinnin’ some slammin’ pop-punk, hip-hop, hxc from 10pm til 3am along with Nate Dogg.

I picked up season 1 of Dexter, I’ll be in bed all Sunday watching it.

I ate a grape and I jazzed in my pants…

New Found Glory’s ‘Not Without A Fight’ I wasn’t too impressed with it, but it seems to be growing on me.

Cal & Battle love to stay at the Hotel For Dogs

It feels like summer today!

What the hell is that strange unfamiliar orange orb is the sky? Oh yeah, it’s the sun! :D total clear skies in Manchester? What the hell!? Days like today get me stoked about the summer, I can’t wait until I’m chilling on the park in the glorious sunshine with my friends, drinking cherry cokes, playing footie and making trips to the shop for Mr-Freeze ice-pops. The clocks go forward on the 21st, so that means it’ll be lighter later, finishing work at 4pm in the summer, oooooo, I can’t wait! Last summer sucked, it just rained for like 6 weeks straight, it was the same the year before that too. I can only actually remember like 3/4days when it was really hot. Lame! This summer will quite possibly be the best ever! Loads of hangouts, road-trips, BBQs, plus my band are going on tour for a week in August.

I got tattooed on Sat, I’ve started the framework on my half-sleeve, it’s looking so cool! I’ve got a few more sessions on it, I’m booked in for May, I need to get it all finished. Getting tattooed near your armpit = not fun.

Friday night was awesome! A crew of us ended up in the Gay Village before heading over to Satans for a night of dancing and other tomfoolery. It was the best night out that I’ve had in a good while! Jilly’s was fun too, we got to play all of our fav punk classics (we played like 5/6 NOFX songs) This Saturday will be my last night DJ’in’ for a good while, the company that Nate works for are closing down (damn you credit crunch!), so he will be taking over full-time cos he needs the cash. Hopefully he’ll find a new-job soon, then I can get back behind the decks, but until then, I’ll be on the dance floor enjoying Nate’s awesome Saturday night punk-rock sessions.

I’m currently enjoying sniping 99p DVD’s off eBay, it’s such a cheap and easy way of building your DVD collection without even leaving your house.

Listen to Polar Bear Club!

should we go outside?

Ah, I’ve had a nice relaxing three-day weekend, I’ve caught up on some much needed sleep. From Friday to Sunday I’ve left my house twice, both times to go to the cinema. I saw Watchmen and Gran Torino, both movies were fantastic! Clint Eastwood is a stone-cold legend! Josie and the Pussycats was on Channel 5 Saturday afternoon, I really enjoyed it! I’m totally in love with Rachel Leigh Cook! I’m pretty sure that I’ve watched like 14/15 movies in 3 days. Also, mad props to Paramount Comedy for showing South Park every night. This has been the first weekend all year that hasn’t been filled with loud music and late nights, it feels good to relax. I’ve not got much on this week either, so it looks like much more of the same. I wanna get back to the movies to see Watchman on the IMAX. Payday on Friday! FUCK YEA!!! Also, I’m getting inked on Saturday, so I’m excited about that. In other news, work is shit, I need a pay rise. The only bad thing about having too much free time is that you’re just alone with your thoughts and I’m really worried that my life is becoming far too repetitive; it’s time for a drastic life change, however, I’m not sure what this will be, I’m trying to figure it all out. I can’t wait until my bands recordings are totally finished and mastered; I want the CD to be available, I want to get writing a new record and I would like to go on tour now. still.. not too long until the summer is here. I’m just so impatient! Bored of waiting and raring to go!

Yours faithfully
Alex Eastwood!

I’ve had a headache for 3 straight days . . . not fun!

I’ve realised that I never did a February re-cap blog entry type thingy, so here’s a quick update . . . Nate and I now DJ in Jilly’s Rockworld on Sat night, we spin pop-punk in the Fishbowl room, I went to Amsterdam for my 23rd bday, I smoked a lot of cheeba and ate a lot of junk food, Battle hooked me up with a VIP ticket to see Glasvegas in Manchester, they were one of the best live bands that I’ve ever seen! Truly awesome! I recorded all of my drum parts for my band’s debut EP and that’s about it.

I’m going to see the Unborn tomorrow night and I’m really looking forward to getting shit-scared with my friends. I saw the Disney movie ‘Bolt’ It was amazing! Whilst at the movies last week I saw countless posters and trailers for upcoming films that I want to see in the run up to summer, needless to say I’ll be spending a lot of time and money at AMC over the next few months.

We’ll be hitting the studio again this weekend, putting the finishing touches on the All We Have, Rain City EP. I’m planning on sitting around providing moral support for the other dudes in the band. Go team!

I’m extremely happy because I read online that NBC are making season 6 of The Office. I’ve been watching that show religiously in 2009, it just gets better and better each season. I’m currently on Season 5 now, I’ve been laughing my ass off watching it. Steve Carell is a comedic god, the show is hilarious and it needs to get a lot bigger  “that’s what she said!”

That’s about it. Not a very interesting post, buy hey! I’m not a very interesting guy!

Peace Out!
